
Rusty Holt
Rusty Hohlt, EdD (College Station, TX) is the Director for Healthy South Texas with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. She has a B.S. from Texas State University, a M.S. from Texas A&M – Kingsville, and doctorate in organizational leadership from Abilene Christian University. Dr. Hohlt is originally from South Texas and her daily focus is on creating a culture of health in communities across South Texas by establishing a network of support for Extension agents and building partnerships to develop programs and measure impact. Prior to her transition into program leadership, Rusty was an Extension agent in rural and urban counties. During that time, she coordinated multiple community health initiatives, including development of a county-based diabetes self-management, prevention, and awareness educational program; development of employee wellness programs; state-wide training and launch of a family nutrition curriculum; and state-wide training and launch of holiday weight maintenance program.
